How do young people better develop critical, creative, technical, analytical and design thinking skills? Definitely using interesting approaches and methods that seem to be connected to the principle of informal education – to learn by doing.
On October 14 th and 15th, the first creative workshop of the Erasmus+ strategic partnerships project Young Creators Discover 3D was held in Latvia, in which young people from Liepa Elementary School participated. Young people received information about both 3D printers and learned their own design skills and prepared their individual projects with a 3 D printer.
How did the young people evaluate the workshop that happened? Young people liked it very much and themselves admit that they gained knowledge and developed skills in several areas.
Many thanks to the workshop manager Elina Gravelsina, who is actively involved in the implementation of this project. Similar workshops are planned in other regions, just now you have to think when and how we can implement them, but as you know, nothing is impossible.
The coordinator of the Erasmus+ strategic partnership project ′′ Young Creators Discover 3D ′′ is the Robotics School (Robotikos mokykla) from Lithuania and the project partners Tartu Noorsootöö Keskus (Tartu Youth Work Center) from Estonia, as well as the Baltic Regional Fund from Latvia. Young Creators Discover 3D Project (No. 2020-3-LT02-KA205- 007214) is being implemented with the financial support of the European Commission program Erasmus+.
